The 2019 Porch Crawl was a hit. The annual HMP favorite helped raise $400 to go towards park maintenance and helped offset the cost of the alley clean up. The weather was chilly, but cold weather never stopped an HMP social event. Hosts Ryan and Sarah Noel, Amber Kaiser, Shanda Eickelberger, Karla Chrisler Johnson, Nick Jansen, Stacy Elston Wasmuth, Jerry and Melissa Wiley, Greg and Gretchen Turner, and Spencer and Alisha Valentine made sure the everyone had warm drinks and snacks to help them forget about the temperature.

The weather was frightful for the Spring Alley Clean-Up, but that did not deter the many dedicated neighbors that volunteered despite the cold and rain. In fact, the alley clean-up had the largest turn out in years with almost 30 neighbors braving the cold and rain to clean alleys, clear storm drains, pick up litter on the streets, and rake and clean the pocket park. The former Titan of Trash Dick Luchtman passed his baton to Dustin Jones and Ryan Noel, who, despite the cold and rain, managed to inspire, motivate, and cajole many volunteers into participating in one of the most extensive alley clean-ups ever. Between the many bags of leaves and trash, volunteers also cleared 6 couches, 3 beds, 2 wood dressers, and a toilet.
