Indianapolis’ latest lunch hot spot, Friday Food Truck Frenzy, includes one of Historic Meridian Park’s very own residents, Luke (Chef T) Trinosky, with High 5 Lunch. Luke has been cooking professionally for over 20 years and has had the food truck since 2014.

Luke and his soon to be wife, Jen Rozelle, moved to HMP in 2014. While Luke is from Van Wert, OH and Jen is from Chicago, their paths crossed 6 years ago when mutual friends introduced the two. Luke and Jen continued to see each other, fell in love, and recently married.

Along with being active members of the neighborhood, Luke set out to follow his long time passion of owning and operating a food truck. He took the plunge and now is owner and operator of High 5 Lunch. As if owning and operating a food truck is not enough, Luke also caters special events and offers cooking classes in the home or group setting.

For the last year, Chef T has been involved in the food truck group “Friends of Fred.” Friends of Fred is a group of food truckers who collaborate, share gigs, and have most recently started what they call #FoodTruckFrenzy. Food Truck Frenzy is a Friday lunch event held downtown on Vermont Street across from the War Memorial. From 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM, anyone can head down to Vermont Street and choose from 8 savory food trucks, a dessert truck, and a boutique truck. There are over 25 trucks on rotation so the variety of food offered is aplenty.

Some of Trinosky’s menu highlights are Korean BBQ Tacos with sweet sesame soy sauce and house kimchi, Maple Whiskey Glazed Chicken Wrap with candied pecans and bacon, and the Midwestern Bowl with smoked cheesy mashed potatoes, chicken or pulled pork, bbq sauce and slaw.

If you can’t make it to his truck, High 5 Lunch, you can find him on UberEATS during the week for both lunch and dinner. Be sure to check out www.high5lunch.com or like the High 5 Lunch page on Facebook!
