Last month, our friends and neighbors Marty and Anne-Marie Dezelan’s home was struck by lightning and caught fire. They are now living in a rental home near Butler. Other than some furniture and photographs, they lost nearly all of their household goods, mostly due to smoke and water damage, so it is like starting over. The insurance assessment is ongoing and it will be awhile before they are compensated for the loss. The damage to the house is so extensive it will need to be fully gutted and rebuilt inside. They hope to be back in HMP in the spring or early summer. Anne-Marie thanks everyone for their concern and love. They will be in touch once the chaos settles down.
Neighbors can go to the Target Registry to contribute a gift card to help the Dezelans replace the damaged household goods. The Dezelans will “repay” all gifts with a donation to the Julian Center when the insurance payment arrives. If emailing the gift card, you may use ao@annieos-events.com for the email address.
