The HMP Pocket Park Committee accomplished important milestones this month. The team, after raising almost $19,000 over the past 8 months, made an offer on the proposed pocket park location at 209 E. 33rd Street, the double parcel on the southeast corner of the alley between Pennsylvania Streets and Washington Boulevard. We are happy to report that the owner has accepted our offer and a deal has been reached! Historic Meridian Park, gaining ownership of the land, can now focus on grant funding and our continued fundraising efforts to develop the park.
Please look for upcoming HMP General Meetings where we will continue to get neighbor input on park plans and amenities.
