Are you in the mood for spring cleaning? The 2009 HMP Garage Sale will be held Saturday, June 27, from 8 am to noon. A roster of participating homes will be printed and available to shoppers during the sale and the event will be advertised in the Indianapolis Star. Participating homes will be identified with a sign or balloon.
What can I sell at the Garage Sale?
Anything you are tired of (please, no children or pets), such as furniture, books, clothing, lamps, antiques, rugs, small appliances, dishes/silverware, plants, toys, musical instruments, art, knick-knacks and clean bedding.
Also, set aside a few items to give away for free. Advertisements will list free items available at each location as extra encouragement for shoppers to visit our sale!
Can I donate proceeds to Historic Meridian Park Neighborhood Association?
Absolutely! Consider donating a flat dollar amount or a portion of your sales to HMP. There are expenses associated with the sale (advertising, signs, balloons, etc.), so please consider helping us offset some of those expenses with a donation amount of your choice.
I have things I want to get rid of, but don’t want to have a sale at my home. What can I do with those items?
One sale location will be run by HMP, with sale proceeds going directly to your neighborhood! Items cannot be stored, but can be dropped off the day of the sale between 7 am and 8 am. Location TBA.
What should I do with items I didn’t sell?
Feel free to keep them until next year’s sale, or better yet, donate them! Arrangements will be made for a local charity to pick up any unsold items after noon on the day of the sale.
Who you gonna call?
