October 11: Volunteers Needed for Fruit Tree Planting in MFC
Eden in Indianapolis received a grant for fruit trees through Keep Indianapolis Beautiful’s Neighborwoods program. They will get 40 fruit trees and some Red Oaks. They need 40 volunteers to help with the plantings. Plantings will start on Oct 11 at 9:00am at Broadway Church at 609 East 29th Street. Coffee and snacks will be provided in the morning, and afterwards participants will celebrate with a pitch-in style lunch. October 16: Get the Facts Workshop on Homeownership
Get the Facts is a Freddie Mac workshop that gives straightforward information about all aspects of homeownership, including costs associated with home buying and credit history requirements. Participants are encouraged to ask questions as workshop facilitators help them separate fact from fiction. The workshop is on Thursday, Oct. 16 at Mapleton-Fall Creek Development Corporation at 130 East 30th Street from 5:30PM to 7:00PM.
