The “Little Free Library” is open for business at the Pocket Park. Take a book. Leave a book (or two). Thanks to Angela Colby for donating it, Mark Herner for staining it, and John Carmer for getting the logos made and installing it. Enjoy (and don’t forget to stop at Jen Rozelle-Trinosky’s free little library at her house too!).
As true with most construction projects, cost overruns are the norm. The cost to get the concrete work completed is more than originally planned and therefore the park needs your help. If you are able to donate to the park, please keep in mind that you may do so at any social event or online. Your contributions are tax deductible. On-going maintenance and insurance require constant neighborhood help. Thank you to Cassie Mehlman-Rhys and Sharon Gamble for their individual $1000 donations.
