Rev. Tom Kryder-Reid presented plans to the HMPNA Board regarding Trinity Episcopal Church’s plans to expand school and church facilities and to create more green space, space for Christian education, community gathering space, a science lab, and athletic facilities. A steering committee was formed in 2009 to begin to address the space needs of Trinity and St. Richard’s School.  Axis Architects were chosen to develop plans.  The architects proposed a plan which includes building an “arrival court” north of 33rd St. in what is now a parking lot.  33rd St.would be closed off to street traffic from Pennsylvania St. to Meridian St.

Trinity also hopes to purchase the old Planned Parenthood building, the Atkinson building, and another structure located on the east side of Meridian St. between 32nd and Trinity’s existing facility.  They are also interested in purchasing the home just east on 33rd St.  with plans to demolish the structure.  The current residents are not interested in moving from their home nor having it demolished at this time.
