In February, neighbors voted for two new Historic Meridian Park Neighborhood Association (HMPNA) Board Members: Dustin Jones assumed Spencer Valentine’s seat and Steve Schwartz has taken Stacey Patrick’s seat. The neighborhood is grateful for the many years of service of Spencer and Stacey and look forward to the contributions of Dustin and Steve. A new Board Secretary will be announced this month.
As the Board transitions, it will be exciting to see what new ideas and experiences emerge. The Board has a couple of new faces and a lot of great talent so be on the lookout for new initiative from the Board as well as moving forward on old initiatives.
Additionally, the Board and the neighborhood is grateful for the work of Hope Russu. Hope is the Mayor’s Neighborhood Advocate for HMP. She has attended every meeting since last November and will continue to attend Board Meetings this year. She has been a valuable liaison to the Mayor’s office and HMP is fortunate to have someone from the Mayor’s office so involved in Board and neighborhood discussions.
